The “Modern Family” actress had a big smile on her face as she left the Melrose Fashion Design Studio after dropping off some garments for alterations. Despite a devotion to cleavage-baring, head-turning clothing, the Modern Family star tells Us Weekly, “I also love comfort, so it was only natural to use spandex and include sexy sheer pantyhose!”

So when she began planning her new fall line, Sofia Vergara for Kmart, the Colombia-born actress, 39, was inspired by women searching for fashion that feels as good as it looks.

“I wanted to create clothes for the mom who wants to look nice and sexy, even while taking her kids to soccer practice,” says Vergara, who has a son, 18-year-old Manolo.
